SCRIPT DOCTOR
Si Spencer has written extensively for television, including long stints on Eastenders, Grange Hill and The Bill as well as comic book projects, Judge Dredd, Tank Girl and his own critically acclaimed graphic novel series ‘The Vinyl Underground’. He has also been script editor or part of the initial development team on numerous BBC series including City Central and Torchwood. As either writer or editor, Si has collaborated with, among others, Neil Gaiman, Russell T Davies, Tony Jordan, Tony Garnett, Matty Graham, Mal Young, John Yorke, Paul Smith, Jamie Hewlett and Simon Ashdown.
Currently taking a sabbatical from writing TV drama to finish a commissioned novel and independent movie, I’m enjoying the opportunity to help other writers solve those knotty problems we all face. If you feel the need for expert constructive criticism, professional validation that your great idea is as good as you know it is, or if you’re beating your head against the wall on a plot point, I’ve been there from both sides of the production and can help you find your own creative solutions to improve your script from as little as forty pounds.
